Ethical investment manager UCA Funds Management is pleased to welcome Ms Zarmeen Pavri to its board as a non-executive director.
Ms Pavri brings over two decades of funds management experience to the business having held leadership roles at Pengana Capital, MIR Investment Management and JP Morgan, amongst others.
During that time, she developed particular expertise in strategy development, investment and risk management across the fields of finance, impact investing and international development. More recently, she has brought this experience to the fore as the founder and executive director of 37°C, a positive impact ecosystem advisory business.
As a specialist social impact investment technical adviser to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and currently serving on several impact enterprise boards, the focus on authentic ethical investment is what attracted Ms Pavri to UCA Funds Management.
"Ethical investing is about matching our values with our investment decisions which allows us to achieve returns while delivering social and environmental good. It provides us all an opportunity to apply, leverage and use the financial system to create a positive impact on people and planet," said Ms Pavri.
"In terms of aligning head, hand and heart, ethical investing allows me to authentically claim that I am walking my talk and gives me an opportunity to leave the world in a better place."
UCA Funds Management chairman, David Cousins, warmly welcomed Ms Pavri to the board, saying her expertise will help guide UCA Funds Management from strength to strength.
"We are delighted to be able to draw on Zarmeen's extensive investment experience which will perfectly complement our existing strengths. She shares UCA Funds Management's passion for investing with purpose to create a better world and will be a valuable asset as we aim to reach more values-driven investors," said Mr Cousins.
