Trust, honour and responsibility – UCA Funds Management takes the Banking and Finance Oath
20/08/2018

My word is my bond.

In the name of transparent, authentic investment, UCA Funds Management's entire team have taken the Banking and Finance Oath. By doing so, we are now a 100% Committed.

As an ethical funds manager, it's important to UCA Funds Management to be a positive example both within and to the banking and finance industry.

UCA Funds Management CEO Mathew Browning says that the Oath was an easy decision for the company, in line with existing principles and commitments – yet one that was not taken lightly.

"As ethical investors, taking the Banking and Finance Oath is a natural progression in our vision for better investments and a better world."

"With our entire team taking the oath, we are delighted to be standing together helping to create a sustainable and just future, speaking out against wrongdoing and being a leader in our industry as it strives to meet community needs and expectations."

What is the Banking and Finance Oath?

The Banking and Finance Oath was created by the Banking and Finance Oath Limited, an independent not-for-profit organisation, working to improve the banking and finance industry's ethical and moral standards.

The Oath reads:

Trust is the foundation of my profession.
I will serve all interests in good faith.
I will compete with honour.
I will pursue my ends with ethical restraint.
I will help create a sustainable future.
I will help create a more just society.
I will speak out against wrongdoing and support others who do the same.
I will accept responsibility for my actions.

In these and all other matters; my word is my bond.
