UCA Funds Management is one of Australia’s oldest ethical fund managers. With the end of the 2011 financial year, our flagship investments, UCA Cash Portfolio and UCA Growth Portfolio, both clocked up an impressive 26 years of uninterrupted performance.
UCA Funds Management began in 1977 as the financial arm of the Uniting Church in Australia. We have since grown into a manager of ethically screened investments managing funds on behalf of individual and corporate investors, members and non-members of the Uniting Church, as well as not-for-profit organisations and registered charities.
As an ethical fund manager we apply our own set of negative screens (investment exclusions). These are applied against companies involved in the production of tobacco and alcohol, pornography, gambling, uranium mining and armaments. Moreover, we also invest in areas which promote human welfare, dignity and respect, and the general good.
Funds under management are currently in excess of $650 million. Our performance compares well with our peers, be they ethical or non-ethical fund managers.
UCA Funds Management operates under a 360° ethical investment model whereby our after-expense management fees go back to the community to support the charitable work of the Uniting Church in Australia, reinforcing our ethical philosophy.
